Cordia Quartet
Cordia Quartet is back this Wednesday, 18th June, at St Francis Church in a concert consisting of Mozart's no. 16 in C Major K465 ('Dissonance') and Ravel's Quartet in F Major. Cordia, meaning 'hearts' with overtones of 'harmony': rest assured there will be nothing dissonant about Mozart, or Ravel, for that matter!

A march by the Prekursur Band of Xewkija will take place, accompanied by the statue of Saint John the Baptist (1912), which will then be placed on the pedestal near the primary school. At the end of the march, the ground fireworks display titled Nativitas24 will begin.

St. John The Baptist Procession
St. John The Baptist Procession
The procession will feature musical accompaniment by the Banda Prekursur, together with a choir made up of children of the parish (Ulied il-Battista), including tenor, baritone, and mezzo-soprano voices. During the procession and the return of the statue to the church, there will be fireworks displays and a colourful pyrotechnic show.
