Music

This one-hour concert features piano works inspired by opera, with music by Scarlatti, Bach, Liszt, Verdi, and others. This year’s programme highlights pieces closely linked to Italy—the birthplace of opera— offering a fresh perspective from last year’s recital. The programme includes Scarlatti’s Sonatas, Bach’s Italian Concerto, Busoni/Bach’s  Chaconne in D minor, and Liszt/Verdi’s arrangements from Don Carlo and Rigoletto.
