Join us for ‘Weaving & Traditional Crafts’. This event includes a guided tour in Maltese or English, and a hands-on family-friendly workshop.

Set within this beautifully preserved 18th-century windmill – one of the few surviving from the Knights’ period – the experience transports participants back to a time when windmills stood at the heart of village life. During the guided tour, participants will discover the importance of cotton in the Maltese Islands, a vital resource that shaped local livelihoods and domestic crafts during the time of the Knights of St John and beyond.

Participants will then have the opportunity to observe a traditional weaver at work and will be invited to try basic weaving techniques themselves, gaining hands-on insight into skills passed down through generations.
