The Voice of Silence – Art Exhibition by Mary Rose Saliba
January 18, 2025 @ 09:00 - 12:00
FreeA close relationship with the environment and love for nature lead Mary Rose Saliba as the artist researcher to explore, study, examine and analyse the deep connection between nature and human presence and its manipulation.
The exhibition aims to trigger the lamentable divisions between opposing poles, pitting natures delicately poised and aesthetically pleasing harmony against the widespread devastation of primordial rural areas.
Nostalgic moments of the past raise awareness about past and present environmental deviations. Such frustration and nostalgia encouraged the artist to use her brush strokes to convey a powerful philosophical, psychological, and spiritual message. Saliba considers this complex duality a symbol of the human condition, placed within a cultural, historical, geological, and biological context.
‘The Voice of Silence’ exhibition is creating a link between nature and humanity. It is an open space for the teachings and wisdom that nature offers, reminding us of our place within the ecosystem and the importance of preserving it.
