The Human Rights Directorate in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo and the Gozo Regional Council are holding an Anti-Racism = Patriotism event, on Thursday 9^th November 2023 between 6.00 and 7.30pm at the Għarb Local Council hall.  The event will take the form of a panel conversation between three to five speakers from different backgrounds, followed by an open discussion.  This event falls under Malta’s anti-racism strategy for 2021–2023, where the Human Rights Directorate aimed to hold a series of grassroots-level discussions.  The discussion aims to understand Maltese patriotism as a mindset that celebrates both the nation’s history and the intercultural values of today.  It will highlight the importance of equality and diversity in society, for both migrants and Maltese, as a driver of economic success.
