The German organist Jens Goldhardt is coming to the Basilica and Collegiale Parish of the Visitation of Our Lady in Gharb, Gozo, for a one-off concert. The programme includes composers close to Johann Sebastian Bach: Georg Böhm, C. F. Witt and Johann Pachelbel. From the master Bach himself comes the iconic Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

Jens Goldhardt (*1968) studied church music in Eisenach and Halle. Even as a student, he won first prize at the Max Reger Days International Organ Competition. He has been a church music director since 2006 and has completed successful choral and orchestral projects, including for CDs and German television.

Maltese solo trumpeter Jason Camilleri (AFM) will perform as a special guest. The two musicians are looking forward to their first collaboration. Admission to this one-hour concert is free.
