April 5 @ 09:45 - 13:15
€10 – €15
Embark on a fascinating guided tour to uncover the history of wind-powered flour mills and their vital role in the livelihoods of Gozitan communities.
Our journey begins with a coach departure from Mġarr Harbour at 9:45 am. As we travel, our guide will share insights into the evolution of flour milling in Gozo, passing by private mills dating back to the times of the Knights and the British.
Our first stop is Xewkija, where we’ll visit the oldest standing mill in Gozo. Then, we head to Xagħra to explore the Kola Mill, an 18th-century mill where the legacy of Gozo’s last miller is preserved. Here, we’ll enjoy a traditional cup of coffee and sample typical Easter treats from Xagħra.
We’ll return to Mġarr Harbour around 1:15 pm.
Ticket prices are €15 for adults, seniors, and students, while children and Heritage Malta members can join for just €10.
