Ix-Xoqqa F’Moxtha – It-Tradizzjoni Tal-Insiġ

Wirt Għawdex is inviting the public to attend the second lecture of its series of talks. The lecture ‘Spinning a yarn: The tradition of weaving’ focusing on the history, the culture and the tradition associated with weaving, will be given by Alda Bugeja in the Maltese language. Alda is a weaver and expert in woven fabrics and other crafts related to weaving. She has become synonymous with the art of weaving, owing to her profound skills and knowledge. Weaving is one of the oldest crafts practised in Malta and used to be a main source of income for rural households across the Maltese islands.
Seating is limited and on a first-come-first-served basis. Priority is given to those who register.
