“Impressions from the Sea” is a visual diary of my artistic journey—an exploration of colours, textures, and techniques that gradually led me to discover my own language of expression.

The sea has always been my greatest muse. Its endlessly shifting colours, subtle shades, dramatic lights, and rhythmic movements transform it into something almost alive—an omnipresent, vivid being. Over the past eight years living on the island of Gozo, I have breathed with the sea daily. Watching it, meditating by it, and snorkelling in its depths have deepened my connection with this powerful element.

Coming from Łódź in Poland, a city far from the coast, I saw the sea only twice as a child. Here in Gozo, surrounded by Mediterranean beauty, I found the perfect environment to dive deeper into the development of my own artistic style.

I hope you will enjoy this exhibition as much as I enjoyed creating it. Each painting represents both joy and challenge as I attempted to capture the diversity and splendour of the sea.

The second part of the exhibition focuses on human expressions—portraits that explore personality and emotion. You will even find a special tribute to my beloved ginger cat, “Cippollino”.
