Eve of The Feast

Free7:30am: Solemn concelebrated Mass led by the Rev. Chapter at the Cathedral, including the singing of the Te Deum marking the end of the Quindicina and the beginning of the Solemn Triduum.
10:00am: Children’s Mass for the entire parish, celebrated by Mons. Maximillian Grech with participation by the Aurora Youth Choir. After Mass, a new statue of Our Lady will be blessed, followed by a children’s demonstration. The statue was created by artist Manwel Grech and donated to the parish by Mons. Maximillian Grech.
11:00am: Children’s parade with flags from the band club to the new statue of Our Lady, accompanied by the Leone Philharmonic Band, from the Cathedral to the band club.
12:00pm: Party for all the children at the Leone Band Club, with a reception for guests of the Society.
6:00pm: Pontifical translation of the Madonna’s Relic, led by Cardinal Legate H.E. Mario Grech, Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops, from the Church of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament to the Cathedral. The procession will include the Cathedral Chapter, altar servers, parish confraternities, and a religious march by the Leone Philharmonic Band.
Pontifical celebrations of the First Vespers of the Solemnity will follow. Hymns include Salve Regina, Litanies, Antiphons, and Tantum Ergo.
7:30pm: Solemn Pontifical Mass for the vigil of the Feast, celebrated by H.E. Mons. Anton Teuma, Bishop of Gozo, with participation by the Cathedral Parish Clergy.
9:30pm: Triumphal march along Republic Street featuring the Leone Philharmonic Band and the St. Sebastian Band of the Pinto Band Society (Ħal Qormi). The march ends with a spectacular aerial fireworks display.
1:00am: Arrival of the triumphal march at Savina Square, concluding with a celebratory spectacle of visual effects and synchronized music, organized by the youth group Żgħażagħ l-Iljuni.
