This solo exhibition meditates on light in times of grief, hope, memory, celebration, and the mundane. The body of work on display reflects on how light weaves through humanity’s lived experience.
Azzopardi is drawn to the presence of light in two primary spaces: the home and the expanse of the sea. Indoors, it transforms a space into a sanctuary; outdoors, the sea’s surface mirrors this play of light, constantly shifting. In her practice, Azzopardi explores how these motifs serve as metaphors for her own experiences of light. Her work embodies its presence, offering a sense of refuge – a pause amid life’s flux. The exhibition captures these fleeting moments, reminding us that, in a world of constant change, light remains an anchor for reflection.
