This time, I drew inspiration from my favourite poet, John Keats, quoting the opening words of his timeless line: “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” These four words perfectly capture what I strive for in my art—to create beauty that heals both body and soul. Choosing the painting to represent this exhibition was no easy task, but one piece ultimately stood out. “Lights in the Dark”—a vibrant, life-filled work painted entirely with my fingers—depicts cars waiting on a cold, rainy night, their headlights blazing and reflecting on the wet tarmac. Yet, when viewed from afar, each person finds their own meaning within it. Later, I recreated the same scene using brushes, and though the result was quite different, it proved equally pleasing in its own unique way.
