Jean de Valette, the Knight, the prisoner, the Governor of Tripoli, the Captain General of the Knights' galleys and the Order's Grand Master that orchestrated Malta's defense during the Great Siege in 1565. The man that our capital is named after.During this event, various exhibits will be on display to commemorate the Legend Grand Master Jean de Valette.

Gozitan artist Mary Portelli showcases no fewer than 45 of her works, several of which depict familiar landmarks in Gozo such as the Gran Castello, Comino Tower, St Anthony’s Battery, Kenuna Tower, Gordan Lighthouse, Sopu Tower, and the Carnival Monument in Nadur. These pieces are made mostly from ceramic tile, which the artist meticulously cuts to emulate the actual buildings. They...
