This recital focuses on works for Trio (Flute, Violin and Pianoforte) by composers ranging from Mel Bonis to Gaubert, Smyth, Martinů, and Joseph Vella. While the composers use these instruments for the respective pieces chosen for performance by the Janascharco Trio, it is very interesting how each brings out different shades of tonal colour through the harmonies and contrapuntal textures they employ.
